ฐานอะไรเอ่ย
ปริศนาคำทาย เป็นสิ่งที่ท้าทายความสามารถ ความคิด และการแก้ปัญหาของเด็กๆ พวกเขาจะรู้สึกอยากลอง อยากค้นหาความจริง อยากเอาชนะอยากแสดงให้เห็นถึงความสามารถที่ตนเองมีอยู่
การสร้างปริศนาคำทาย ควรเป็นสิ่งที่อยู่ใกล้ตัวเด็ก ใช้คำศัพท์ง่ายๆ และโครงสร้างประโยคที่ไม่ซับซ้อน เปิดโอกาสให้เด็กได้คิดบ้าง แต่ก็ควรมีบ้างบางข้อที่พอเด็กอ่านจบ ก็ตอบได้เลย เพราะจะเป็นการสร้างกำลังใจให้เขา
ในหนังสือ English Is Fun. ของชั้นประถม 6 ก็จะมีคำทายที่เราสามารถเอามาใช้ได้เลย ลองพิจารณาดูนะ

ก่อนที่จะให้เด็กทำปริศนาคำทาย ครูอาจให้เด็กอ่านออกเสียงก่อน แล้วค่อยแบ่งกลุ่มให้เด็กแข่งขันกันระหว่างกลุ่ม
หลังจากที่เฉลยแต่ละข้อ ครูควรถามเหตุผลว่า ทำไมจึงตอบอย่างนั้นจะเป็นอย่างอื่นได้ไหม และมีประโยคใดบอกให้ทราบว่าจะต้องเป็นอย่างนั้น
ครูควรกระตุ้นให้เด็กใช้ความคิดตลอด บางครั้งอาจแก้ไขคำทายบ้างเล็กน้อย แล้วดูว่าคำตอบจะเปลี่ยนไปไหม เป็นต้น
